Efforts to bring about change should address needs defined within an organization’s strategic plan. While many organizations have developed comprehensive strategic plans, others seek support as they construct their own. For those seeking such assistance, we work together to establish long-term plans for the operation of the organization and their priority programs.

In general, program plans attempt to map out the direction, goals, and methods for obtaining those goals for all stakeholders. Many organizations have established such items as organizational priorities, goals, outcomes, targets, and some adhere to a well-developed logic model. All of these are elements of a successful program plan. Working collaboratively with a team of key stakeholders, we provides support in the formal identification of these plan components.

Planning Process

We recommend a planning process that is comprised of five working sessions:

  1. Introduction to the general strategic planning process.
  2. Review the articulated program logic model elements. Clarify element statements. For each of the program goals, identify objectives.
  3. Review of the articulated program logic model. Identify objective performance measures.
  4. Review of the articulated program logic model. Identify affiliated performance targets.
  5. Review of the articulated program logic model. Identify affiliated program actions. Finalize logic model.

At the completion of the process, organizations are able to move toward actualizing their strategic plan.
