Charlene Sul holds a Master of Arts degree from San Jose State University in Mexican-American Studies with an emphasis in Multi-Cultural Studies where she studied outcomes and best practices and their correlation to cultural environments and expectations. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Service Administration from the College of Notre Dame-Namur in Belmont, California where the core of the program was on the management of non-profit organizations. She also studied Law at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California, Intellectual Property course work at Santa Clara University in Canifornia and Comparative Law at the Vienna School of Law in Austria.

Charlene Sul brings with her over 20 years of corporate experience. Some of the organizations that have benefited from her legal and business development skills include: Venture Law Group, University of the Pacific, Sun Microsystems, Apple Computer, Pearson School Systems, the Washoe Tribe of California and Nevada, the Maidu Family Story Project and the Women’s Center of San Joaquin. In addition, she has extensive experience building and implementing strategic plans for non-profit organizations.

Her area of research focuses on the design and implementation of holistic methodologies in health and education. She provides technical assistance with organizational analysis, program evaluation and development, grant management and compliance consultation, focus group facilitation and qualitative data design and interpretation. She is the CEO for Sul & Associates.

David Sul

David Sul is the Director of Research and Evaluation for Sul & Associates. His experience is in evaluating educational programs for students within K-12, community college and university systems. His work with Sul & Associates focuses on the alignment of organizational goals with actions and performance measures to serve the evaluation needs of organizations. He has served as a Professor of Statistics at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA and at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA. He oversaw the establishment of the Office of Assessment at Pacific. He has been active in education for over twenty years.

Sul completed his doctoral course work from the Graduate School of Education at UC Berkeley and holds a Master of Science degree in Statistics from Utah State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from California State University at Northridge. Prior to becoming a full-time researcher, David Sul designed and implemented educational programs at the K-12, college, and university levels. He has experience developing systemic reform efforts and lends this knowledge to his work for Sul & Associates.
